| Below is an example of a "1-hour" Swedish Massage routine : |
1. Client is greeted and brought to massage room with deeply relaxing music playing in background
2. Client is instructed to undress to a comfortable level (women typically bra-less and in shorts or under shorts or nothing and men typically in under shorts or nothing) while therapist leaves room. Client lies on massage table face down (on stomach) with sheet draped over entire body. When client is ready, massage therapist enters room to begin massage. Complete professionalism and careful "draping" techniques employed to assure complete privacy and high comfort level to clients.
3. Quick in-take form (pre-massage questionnaire
) - a few questions about client health and areas of tight / sore / stiff muscles reviewed.
4. Quick explanation of procedure to be employed for typical Swedish Massage routine
5. Massage Begins (Oil, lotion, gel, or creme used): --> Note: The routine below can be completely passive for the client - in which case the client need not assist the therapist in any way - simple total relaxation during the procedure is recommended.
