| Question: Upon asking one of my clients at the end of the massage, "What was your favorite and least favorite part of the massage and what could I do better next time?" |
The client, who has received many massages in his lifetime, responded:
"The entire massage was excellent and I wouldn't change anything. My favorite part was the scalp and foot work as well as the deeply relaxing work towards the
end."
Another client, a dancer, came in with some discomfort in her gluts, lower back, and feet (Achilles tendon
area). After focusing more time on these regions during the massage, I called the client back a couple of days later and asked how she felt. She responded:
"I had the discomfort in my gluts and lower back for a long time from dancing on hard floors and since the massage, it's the first time in months that the discomfort has seriously subsided.
Thank-you."
Another client complained of holding a lot of tension, stress, and muscle tightness in his shoulders, neck and upper back (a very common
complaint). He wanted me to focus more time in this region and of course still complete a full body massage. A thorough neck, shoulder and upper back massage was administered and many muscle knots were relieved. Upon completion of the massage, the client stated:
"Wow, what a difference. I can feel that the tightness and soreness in my shoulder area is gone and the whole upper back region feels
great!"
